Book a callThe challenge
What this sector deals with today.
Marketplace operators collect money from buyers and owe money to sellers — at scale, across hundreds or thousands of transactions. Without a purpose-built infrastructure, collecting at that scale means reconciling individual payments to individual orders manually, and paying out to sellers becomes a batch operation that introduces delay, error and compliance exposure.
As a marketplace grows, the gap between what has been collected and what has been paid out becomes harder to track — and harder to evidence. Regulatory and investor scrutiny of how buyer funds are held and disbursed is increasing, and a pooled account with manual reconciliation is increasingly insufficient as an answer.
Onboarding · KYB
Onboard sellers quickly. Every one checked, every one evidenced.
Every seller in your marketplace is onboarded through an automated KYB flow — sent by link, completed by the seller, with identity and business checks running in the background. Each approved seller gets their own payment account.
KYB onboarding link sent by email — sellers complete checks themselves, no manual data collection
Automated business verification — company registration, UBO screening and sanctions checks
Each approved seller issued a dedicated payment account for their net proceeds
Onboarding status visible in the portal — pending, in review, active — with full audit trail

Pay-in · Rule-based splits
Buyer payment collected. Platform fee and seller proceeds split at source.
When a buyer pays, the funds arrive and a pre-configured split rule fires immediately: the platform's commission is separated from the seller's net proceeds at the moment the payment clears — no pooling, no manual separation.
SEPA CT, SEPA Instant or card-acquiring — payment collected and ring-fenced per order
Split rule executes at source: platform fee to your account, net proceeds held for seller
Split percentages configurable per seller tier, product category or promotion
Every split logged with the rule version applied — defensible at transaction level

Split at source
Platform fee and seller proceeds are separated the moment the buyer pays — no pooled float, no end-of-day manual separation.
Every seller has their own account
Each seller's net proceeds are held in a dedicated account. No cross-contamination, no allocation required, every balance visible in real time.
Audit-ready from buyer to seller
Every flow — collection, split, disbursement — is logged with its compliance context. A full trail from buyer payment to seller receipt, per order.
Finished, not building blocks.
This workflow arrives pre-configured and ready to run. The IBANs, split rules, account hierarchy, onboarding flows and compliance controls are all in place — not a kit to assemble, but a finished proposition you deploy.

Every marketplace capability runs under governed, audit-ready controls.
Payscape operates Control Cloud — our own governed compliance environment. We author, version-control, test and deploy every compliance rule ourselves; the configuration is never outsourced. Every account event, IBAN assignment, transfer and transaction is recorded with its compliance context — screening status, monitoring outcome and the version of the rule Payscape applied — so you can show your working to a regulator, auditor or investor at any point.
Payscape version-controls every rule — every change reviewed, approved and deployed by us
Audit trail per event — not just the transaction but the compliance decision
Safeguarding reconciled daily — client funds matched and confirmed automatically

Common questions.
For straightforward limited companies, automated KYB typically completes in under ten minutes once the seller submits their information. Higher-risk entities or those requiring enhanced due diligence route to a manual review queue with a target same-day turnaround. Every outcome is logged with audit evidence.
Yes. Split rules are configured per seller, per product category or per transaction type — any combination of percentage and fixed-fee structures. Rules are version-controlled, so every historical split is traceable to the rule that applied at the time.
Buyer payments are ring-fenced at collection and split at source — the platform fee goes to the platform account and the seller proceeds are held separately, never co-mingled in a pooled float. Each seller's balance is visible individually. Regulatory safeguarding of client funds is handled by Payscape's licensed EMI partners.
Any schedule you configure: daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or on-demand. Sellers can also be given access to request payouts within their available balance at any time, subject to your programme rules.
